Your memories, your choice.

Privacy notice for the Remvale early release. Updated 10 October 2026.

What Remvale stores

When you sign in, Remvale receives your account identifier, email address after verifying a private email link. We store memorial details, family memberships, invitation records, and the memories and files you choose to add.

Who can see your content

Public memorials appear in public search. Family and private memorials are accessible to invited members. Each memory has its own visibility: public, family-only, selected people, or Only me. Public contributions require steward approval. Only me content is restricted to its author, including its attachments. Stewards cannot read it through the application.

Visibility controls restrict access within Remvale. People who can read or download content can retain copies. Share only content you have permission to share.

Storage and service providers

This release runs in the owner’s Cloudflare account with Workers, D1 for structured records, and private R2 storage for media. Media is served through authorization checks. Cloudflare Email Service delivers sign-in links and invitations when domain verification is complete. Remvale does not add advertising or tracking analytics.

Your choices

You can change the visibility of your own memories, remove memories you authored, export the memories you can access, and opt into or out of the Important dates view. A steward controls memorial visibility and family membership. Merging retains the original memorial record and combines memories and members only after a destination steward approves.

Deleting your account

Account settings lets you permanently delete your account after confirming your email address. This removes your memories, comments, invitations, memberships, and sign-in sessions. If you are the only steward of a memorial, appoint another steward first. Shared memorials managed by other stewards remain.

Deleted attachments become inaccessible immediately. File removal is queued and retried if storage is unavailable. Private media backup copies are scheduled to expire seven days after creation; storage processing may take additional time. Database recovery history can retain deleted records for up to 30 days. Backups are restricted to recovery use. Copies previously saved by other people are outside Remvale’s control.

Early release limits

This service is in early release. Automated backups support recovery, but do not guarantee that every recent change can be recovered. Keep original copies of irreplaceable media. This notice describes the implemented application; it is not a promise of indefinite preservation.
